Hi, our fellow techies. It's Nam from team Techie Story speaking to you again. First of all, I hope you had a wonderful weekend and International Labour Day.
i. In April, we sent out our first issue of The Untold series. The positive feedback from our friends encourages us to continue the second issue with the new publishing tool - Substack.
ii. We're celebrating our 1st anniversary this May with a special edition (hint: a meaningful story with great effort decoration). Stay tuned!
Featured story
For the last month, we had an opportunity to talk to the panelists of SheCodes x WeBuild event about the woman in our tech scene. One of the most exciting parts went to the story of Tham Le, the Engineering Manager of ChoTot. Tham is the most resilient and simple woman I have ever met. She always wears an ordinary T-shirt, pants with no make-up at work. Behind this tiny shape hide a never-giver-up spirit and generous heart.
She told me her problem with hearing that she have to wear hearing aids all the time. That even made her repeat a class when she was 8. You'll never imagine the stories of discrimination she struggled with over the past 15 working years. All the roadblocks that she tackled, strived and became what she is today.
You can read it here. Highly recommended.
